Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on February 16 at iconic Ramlila Maidan, news agency ANI reported on Wednesday morning. Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, “All cabinet ministers will also take oath along with Kejriwal at the event. The oath-taking ceremony will take place at 10 am on Sunday.” Meanwhile, the meeting of newly elected AAP MLAs at Kejriwal’s residence has concluded. Kejriwal has been elected as the leader of the legislative party, the news agency reported. The ruling AAP retained power in Delhi with a brute majority, bagging 62 of the 70 Assembly seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won just eight seats, five more than its 2015 tally. The Congress party drew a blank. Soon after the result was declared, Kejriwal thanked the people of Delhi for reposing faith in his party. “I thank people of Delhi for reposing their faith in AAP for the third time. This the victory of the people who consider me as their son and voted for us,” he said.
